Mauyon Sedoten Amosu

Mauyon Sedoten Amosu is a seasoned legal professional with a strong track record in advocacy, legal aid, and human rights protection. Her passion for justice drives her work, focusing on providing legal representation for marginalised individuals, victims of police brutality, and those wrongfully incarcerated, while upholding the rule of law. She has led a team providing pro bono legal representation to over 380 indigent Nigerians and successfully secured the release of 220 wrongfully incarcerated inmates across the country. Through various human rights advocacy programs, she has facilitated sensitisation initiatives that educate individuals, including students and market women, about their rights and conflict resolution. Mauyon has played a key role in several justice-focused programs, including Lawyers Without Borders, Justice Corner, My Rights, My Freedom, Tech Behind Bars, The Upskilled Defender, and Lawyers NowNow.

Currently, she serves as the Head of Advocacy and Legal Aid at Learned Library Law Practice, leading legal aid efforts. Previously, she was the Head of Legal at Headfort Foundation, overseeing legal compliance and efficacy. Her experience also includes roles at Lexavier Partners and Isaac and Solomon Legal Practitioners, where she gained expertise in corporate law, dispute resolution, and compliance management.
