Peace Mayowa Adewuyi
Access to Justice Associate, The Firma Advisory

Peace Adewuyi is a young lawyer with a keen interest in criminal justice reform and human rights, focusing on providing access to justice for indigent persons across Nigeria. She obtained her Law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, graduating with Second Class Honors (Upper Division), and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Kano Campus, where she earned her BL Qualification with the same honors. Her passion for access to justice has led her to work with various organisations advancing legal rights across Nigeria and Africa.

She has worked at Hope Behind Bars Africa, a nonprofit committed to providing legal aid, and currently leads the Access to Justice Initiative at The Firma Advisory, a law firm dedicated to justice reform. Additionally, she is a member of Democracy Moves, a youth-led movement advocating for democratic advancement in Africa.

Peace Adewuyi has played a key role in securing the release of individuals in correctional facilities, including minors arrested during the EndSARS protests against bad governance. Her dedication to human rights has been evident from the early years of her career, with a strong belief that collaborative efforts among passionate advocates can drive justice system reforms and expand access to justice for marginalised and underserved communities.
