Suunen Atsuwe
Co-founder and Executive Director DevTrain Community and Entrepreneurship Development Initiative
Suunen Atsuwe is a Sustainable development practitioner with eight (8) years of experience in the non-profit sector. He is an Environment Ambassador, strongly advocating for the Equity, Inclusion and Participation (EIP) of young people in the development sector. He has been involved in supporting other organizations design programmes, implement and reviews in Environment/Climate change, Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sectors.
Currently, he is the Co-founder and Executive Director of DevTrain Community and Entrepreneurship Development Initiative – an NGO engaged in various social development activities aimed at building community resilience for the betterment of humanity. His leadership at DevTrain won the organization the 2019 African Minister Council on Water (AMCOW) – Innovation Award and the 2021 JCIN Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi – Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her contributions, tremendous support, and improvement of young people’s lives positively for it.
He is a Fellow of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Nigeria youth training programme “Open Minds, Young Voices” 2019 and ChangeMaker
