Yewande Benn
Founder of PregAfrica

Yewande Benn has over three years of experience in Maternal Health Care. Currently, Yewande is the founder of PregAfrica, where she works on reducing preventable maternal and child mortality and improving the health of mothers and their babies. She also organizes training sessions for Traditional Birth Attendants in local communities to help improve outcomes during pregnancy and childbirth.

Yewande holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos and she also has a course certificate in Global Quality Maternal and New-born Care. Yewande is Committed to making sure that no woman dies an unnecessary death while giving life.

PregAfrica has conducted several antenatal classes for expectant mothers in underserved communities and has also distributed over three hundred sterile birth kits.
